Booking terms and conditions

The small print.......

The following terms and conditions are considered to have been read and accepted when making a booking.

  • Bookings are made for a whole week and run from Saturday to Saturday.

  • During off peak times, with our agreement,  we may be able to accommodate bookings for long weekends or mid-week breaks outside the normal full week - please enquire if you would like to make an enquiry about availability outside peak periods.

  • In order to ensure the comfort of all our guests, the hirer acknowledges and accepts that there is a strict no smoking policy at Ramna Vord.

  • No pets are allowed in Ramna Vord.

  • The hirer shall be responsible for any damages or breakages to the property, furnishings etc. during the period of the booking. Please let us know before your departure if any breakages or other damage to the property has occurred so that we can replace the item before the next guests arrive. We include a refundable damages payment of £100 with all bookings, which will be refunded within 2 weeks of departure, less the replacement or repair cost of any damaged item.

  • Cleaning and Covid 19

  • Ramna Vord is thoroughly cleaned between bookings in accordance with the published cleaning protocols for self-catering properties and short term lets for Covid 19.

  • Arrival and departure times

  • In order to allow sufficient time to carry out the full cleaning measures between bookings, it is essential that you do not arrive before 3pm on the day of your arrival and that you leave before 10am on the day of your departure. Please leave the property and its contents as you find it, and any used bedding and towels should be left where they were on your arrival.

  • The hirer shall ensure that the standard of cleanliness of the premises is as high on departure as on arrival.

  • Payment
A £150 deposit per week is required to secure your booking. Confirmation of the booking will be sent once your payment has cleared.
If the booking is made within 6 weeks of the commencement of your stay, payment should be made in full at the time of the booking. Payment can be made by cheque, BACS or IBAN transfer. Cheques should be made payable to Mr D and Mrs J Sutherland. Our bank account details will be provided.
Your booking must be paid in full 6 weeks before the commencement of your stay. If payment is not received within the 6 weeks (unless otherwise arranged) then the lessor may treat the booking as cancelled.

  • Cancellation
Please note that in the event of a cancellation we will endeavor to re-let the property and if successful, we will make a full refund. It is essential that cancellations are notified to us immediately by phone followed by an immediate written or emailed confirmation. For this reason we highly recommend that you take out travel insurance.
